Redskins-Cardinals Game Updates

You can check out live in-game updates from me all season long at SB Nation DC. Here's my updates from tonight's game vs. the Cards.

Initial thoughts: Terrence Austin had a terrific game. As you all know I'm a huge fan since he sat down with me for a nice feature that I published a couple weeks ago. He made the most of his touches and showed good speed and an ability to get open.

His primary competition, Brandon Banks, had a mixed bag. He had a nice 40-yard kick-off return, but also fumbled a punt, his third fumble of the preseason.

Banks is explosive, but he can't do much but return kicks because he's smaller than Rudy.I would think Austin has the edge because he can do more on the field.

The other big position battle was the #3 RB spot. I would think Ryan Torain is the guy over Keiland Williams. Torain had five carries for 22 yards and also forced a fumble on a punt return. He has been playing special teams throughout the preseason and he can also catch the ball very well.

Add to that he's a Shanahan draft pick. His chances are good.

Tomorrow, I'll be linking to my column for SB Nation as well as getting you a weekend roundup.
