Weekend Roundup: It's Time

Well here we are just a day away from the start of a new season for the Washington Redskins. I can't lie I'm excited. A week one showdown with Dallas? In DC? On Sunday Night Football? Yes please.

Make sure you keep an eye on my Twitter feed @jackandersoniii for live updates throughout the day. I will once again be in the press box covering the 'Skins for SB Nation DC. Look for some postgame reactions on SBNDC and then some analysis here on 'Skins Talk.

Should be fun. Now for your weekend roundup.

Fanhouse writer and DC Examiner Barry Barnes says it's time to see if these Redskins have improved on the field. Enough with the offseason accolades. Just beat Dallas.

Chris Cooley will be on the Sports Junkies every Friday. I wonder how long the 'Skins will allow that to continue? I'm hoping they let him because it makes for great radio and a little bit of controversy. In fact, Cooley already said too much on day one with the Junks.

Trent Williams is the key to the rebuild according to TBD's David Aldridge. I agree. By the way, notice that Aldridge mentions Williams will square off against a host of elite pass rushers this year. Remember I've been saying all offseason we will discover quickly just how good Williams is.

He draws DeMarcus Ware this week and Mario Williams next week. Trent Cole and Osi Umenyiora twice plus Jared Allen, Julius Peppers, and Dwight Freeney. That's tough for any left tackle.

John Keim's preview for the Dallas game along with a prediction.

Albert Haynesworth will get some time according to Adam Schefter.

Make sure to subscribe and check out the new interactive Redskins magazine. It's called Hail! and it's given to you absolutely free by Brian Murphy aka Homer McFanboy and others.

That's the latest. Remember to stay tuned for my live updates and analysis on Twitter, SBNDC and right here at 'Skins Talk during tomorrow's game.
